Le Porte Blu - Mitteleuropean residences, are housed in one of the most beautiful nineteenth-century palaces in Trieste's Borgo Teresiano, just a few minutes' walk from the city's major points of interest, the central train station and the many clubs that enliven the historic center.

The building covers an entire block of the regular grid of the Borgo Teresiano, a testimony and legacy of the Enlightenment culture of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, who had elected Trieste as the seaport of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The entrance still has the original stucco and frescoes from the time of construction, which make the entire building, together with the special decorations on the exterior facades, an interesting example of the representative architecture desired by the wealthy Trieste business bourgeoisie.
